Brentwood Celebrates Arbor Day

Please join the Brentwood City Commission and the Tree Board for 2018 Arbor Day Celebration. The celebration will be on Saturday, March 17 from 11am-1pm, with the program starting at 11:30 am at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library. There will be free tree seedlings given away for families to plant and face painting. For the first time, local outdoor store, REI will be at the event explaining how to use hammocks in an environmentally responsible way, plus giveaways and store coupons.

The festival will include other children activities and free hotdogs provided by Middle Tennessee Electric. There will also be guided tours of the Library Arboretum and the Brentwood Fire and Rescue Department will have a fire truck on site. The Arbor Day Contest Awards, along with the Environmental Stewardship Awards will also be presented. Mayor Jill Burgin, who is the 2018 recipient of the annual tree planting, will be honored for her public service and dedication to the Brentwood community.
