Brentwood Academy extended its winning streak to 20 games with an easy 43-7 home win over Hendersonville’s Pope John Paul II.
BA went up early thanks to a couple of big plays from quarterback Wade Williams.
The junior found Tahir Annoor for a short pass, and Annoor weaved his way through the Knights’ defense for a 44-yard touchdown.
Williams added a long run to get the Eagles inside the PJP II 5-yard-line, setting up a scoring run by Tomario Pleasant.
Jordan James also had a first-half touchdown run of 34 yards for the Eagles, helping BA to a 36-7 halftime advantage.
James Stewart recovered a first-half fumble for BA, and Caleb Brooks had a later interception.
The Eagles (3-0) play Florida’s West Park Prep at home next week.
