A new era of Friday night lights is set to begin on August 22 for Brentwood Academy
with the installation of a new Jumbotron scoreboard at Carlton Flatt Field. The scoreboard will be a dynamic addition, enhancing the game-day experience for fans, players, and the greater Brentwood community.
Donated by Brandon and Caroline Jenkins of Grove Park Construction, the impressive 36 x 20-foot digital scoreboard represents a bold step forward for the storied Brentwood Academy football program. Brentwood Academy Athletic Director Jason Mathews shares,
“This addition is more than just a scoreboard. The jumbotron will elevate the already
electric atmosphere of BA football and help to celebrate the community, tradition, and future of BA athletics. We are incredibly grateful to the Jenkins family and Grovepark for their generous support.”
While this new chapter begins, Brentwood Academy also honors its past. The previous scoreboard, constructed in 2013, was donated by the Ron and Kaye Knox family, long-time supporters with deep ties to the BA athletic program and the school. Their generosity and legacy remain a valued part of Brentwood Academy’s history.
The new scoreboard also offers exciting new opportunities for local businesses to advertise and show their support for Brentwood Academy. With increased visibility and engagement, community partners will have the opportunity to be part of every touchdown, highlight, and celebration.
The new scoreboard will officially be unveiled at Brentwood Academy’s first home football game on August 22, during a special community event that coincides with the annual Back to School Bash and ESBN Gameday celebration. Fans, families, and community members are invited to witness the scoreboard light up for the first time and join in the
excitement of a new season.
