Brentwood Academy Dance Team Wins State Title

The Brentwood Academy Dance Team won the state’s highest honors at TSSAA State Championship at Middle Tennessee State University on November 18. The team placed first in medium jazz and 3rd in medium hip-hop categories. This is the fourth consecutive year for the team to win first place in jazz at TSSAA. The dance team entered the hip-hop division for the first time this year. Both teams are led by Head Coach Robyne Kennedy and Assistant Coach Erin Nash.

The team attended National Dance Alliance’s (NDA) High School National Championship March 3-4, 2018, where they won first place in the Varsity Jazz division. The team received Best Choreography and Technical Excellence.  With the most significant honor being that the high dance team received the highest score of the entire competition, where 556 dance teams competed
