This is the last year that Benton Hall Academy will be at Grace Center at 2422 Bethlehem Loop Road in Franklin.
The headmaster, Jimmy Purcell, posted a message recently announcing the closure. However, he stressed that while the school is closing the doors at its current location, the school is not closing down.
“We will be starting the 2016-17 in a new location,” he told the Source. “We are exploring opportunities and I can’t give a definite date of when we will know the new location at the present time, but we are looking within a 10-mile radius of where we are presently.”
The reason for the move is because the church at their current location is growing.
As soon as the school finds its new location, we will have an update.
Benton’s mission statement is: “where children who learn differently are educated with compassion, where children who struggle academically and socially are inspired to discover their strengths and maximize their potential, and where children who have been on the outside looking in are invited to belong.”
