In the only weekend game featuring two Williamson County teams, Franklin defeated Centennial 50-43 Friday night. The Rebels jumped to a 14-2 lead in the first quarter, forcing the Cougars to play in catch-up mode for the rest of the contest.
Garrison Matthews led Franklin with 18 points while Centennial’s Trevis Butts also had 18.
Following the District 11-AAA contest, Franklin fell to Blackman 63-47 on Saturday. Matthews had 14 points against the Blaze with Joe Critchlow adding 12.

BA went deep in their bench for the win over ECA as 11 Eagles made the scorebook. Darius Garland led the way with 17 points while Bryce Mathews added 12.

In a rematch of the Division II-A championship game, the Panthers defeated the Wildcats thanks to a 16-4 third quarter run. Kenny Cooper had a game-high 23 points for FRA with Jack Doherty chipping in with 16. BGA was led by Gabe Reasor’s 17 points with Ronald Cleveland close behind with 12.

Indy led the Rutherford County power 30-27 at halftime before the Blaze stormed back. Austin Osborn had a team-high 14 points for the Eagles with Grayson Murphy right behind with 13.

The Bruins coasted to a 16-point win with a balanced scoring attack. Grant Teichmann’s 13 points and Ian Bennie’s 11 were the only double-digit scorers.

Balance beat one high-scorer in this matchup as the Spartans’ four players in double-digits managed to beat the 24-point effort by Spring Hill’s Keidron McCalister. Preston Patterson and John Carter each had 13 points for Summit with Tai Carter and Jaden Lewis each adding 10.

A 21-12 fourth-quarter run lifted the Irish to victory. Luke Dixon was the team’s leading scorer with 24 points.

The Eagles had three players in double figures with Grayson Murphy’s 18 points leading the way. Malcolm Walker added 14 and Patrick Murphy chipped in with 12.
