It’s a matter of hours before the start of the TSSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament as Brentwood opens the Class AAA tourney Wednesday while Christ Presbyterian Academy waits until Thursday for the Class AA bracket.
Brentwood (28-6) actually tips off the event, facing White County (30-3) at 10 a.m. in Middle Tennessee State University’s Murphy Center.
Wednesday will mark the third-consecutive year the Bruins reached the state tournament – this time as the Region 6-AAA runner up.
Three years ago in the first state tournament game in school history – also a 10 a.m. tip – Brentwood had arguably the most memorable moment of the tournament. Asa Duvall knocked down a 3-pointer from the corner, upsetting tournament favorite Blackman with fractions of second remaining.
