Booster Club of the Week: Franklin High School

This week we are featuring the Booster Club at Franklin High School. The Franklin High School Booster Club, known as the Quarterback Club, told us about about their Friday night ritual and and their planned fundraisers for the year. Thanks to Quarterback President, Gina Page for taking time out to help us learn more about the Quarterback Club.

Each Booster Club has their own Friday ritual, can you tell us about your Friday night ritual?

Each Friday, our Booster Club hosts a huge tailgate in the parking lot right behind the field house/locker room. We grill, tailgate, and get fired up for the ballgame. We usually have between 150 and 200 people there. Sometimes our drum line comes down to get us fired up and we always play music that is perfect for Friday Night Football. Our team is getting ready in the locker room but they can also hear the excitement outside so we hope that gets them fired up for the game.

How many members do you have in your booster club and how many does it take to make each Friday night successful?

We have about 125 members and it takes about 30-35 people to make each Friday night successful.

For this school year, what types of fundraisers do you have planned?

We will host our “Night at the Barn” where we have a silent auction, live music, local songwriters, and lots of fun. We also sell Franklin Spirit Merchandise at home games, and we sell Smart Cards in our community.

What is your first goal you hope to accomplish this year?

We want 100% involvement from the parents. It takes everyone to make this program successful and the more people we have involved the more we can create a “family” atmosphere.
