The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) announced Nashville International Airport (BNA) served more than 14.9 million passengers in Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 (July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018), breaking the previous year’s record set in FY17 by more than 1.3 million passengers. This is the fifth consecutive year BNA has set a new all-time passengers record for the fiscal year.

In FY18, 14,918,144 passengers traveled into and out of BNA, a robust 10 percent increase over the previous fiscal year.

June 2018 also set a record as the busiest month in BNA history with 1,460,525 passengers, a 2.9 percent increase over the previous record set last month – May 2018—and a 11.1 percent increase over June 2017.

“The astounding passenger growth continues at Nashville International Airport, maintaining BNA’s position as one of the fastest growing airports in North America,” said Doug Kreulen, MNAA president and CEO. “Per our forecast, solid growth is expected to continue, so it is imperative we continue to plan for our future needs. Our Board of Commissioners and staff are focused on expanding and renovating BNA, including adding additional air service, to ensure Nashville’s airport is a world-class transportation hub.”

[NOTE: MNAA also releases passenger data at the end of each calendar year. In calendar year 2017, 14,134,448 passengers traveled to and from BNA, an increase of more than 1.1 million passengers, representing an 8.9 percent increase over the previous year, and setting a new all-time passenger record for the fifth consecutive calendar year. Calendar year totals are released in January.]

Launched in July 2016, BNA Vision is MNAA’s dynamic growth and expansion plan for Nashville International Airport. Upon its completion in 2023, BNA Vision will include a Parking and Transportation Center, new Concourse D, expanded central terminal, airport administration building, potential hotel and transit connection, and a state-of-the-art International Arrivals Facility.

BNA is currently served by 14 airlines and offers 450 daily flights. Nashville International Airport provides nonstop air service to more than 65 destinations.
