Rep. Blackburn Honors Local Service Academy Nominees

U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn held a reception to honor local students that were her Service Academy Nominees for 2015-16 on Friday morning in the Historic Courthouse Building on the square in Franklin.

Rep. Blackburn (R.- Tenn. 7th District) congratulated each of the 29 students- 16 from schools in Williamson County- as they came to the front of the room to receiver her nomination.

x”One of my great honors as a United States Representative is the opportunity to nominate the finest young men and women in the Seventh Congressional District to one of the United States Service Academies,” said Rep. Blackburn. 

Each student told a bit of their story and the academy to which they have, plan or hope to get an appointment.
