Billboard in Brentwood Causing a Fuss

The billboard at Brentwood’s boarder is causing a great deal of fuss lately. Since becoming electronic this previously loathed eyesore was an inconvenience that residents simply had to live with, but no longer. According to city attorney Roger Horner, the next step is a hearing on October 15th.

Horner explained to the Williamson Source that actions were taken previously this year by the Metro Nashville Staff to challenge the conversion of the billboard to an electronic sign. Brentwood intervened in the action with objections from sign owners Lamar, but Judge Claudia Bonnyman ruled that Brentwood did have an interest in the case and would be allowed to join the action. The pending litigation is to determine if the changing of this billboard to an electronic format was done correctly according to Davidson codes.

Ultimately the city of Brentwood would like to see the entire sign removed, but taking it back to print from digital will be a victory for the city and its residents. Contact the city and show your support for their efforts to keep things beautiful in Brentwood.
