Bike Rides, Running and more this Saturday – Governor Bill Haslam and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) cordially invite you to attend this weekend’s festivities at SR 840. The “Enjoy the Ride” event will include live music, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream and a variety of cycling routes for families and serious bike enthusiasts. This event is in celebration of the opening of SR 840 on November 2nd.

The event is in conjunction with the SR 840 Gran Fondo starting at Leiper’s Fork at 8:40 Saturday morning. After all the exercise the participants are invited to Leiper’s Fork to enjoy the Old Tennessee Trail Yard Sale. “Enjoy the Ride” is free and open to the public.

Rides include:

The Family Fun Ride is five miles and for cyclists of all ages.
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
The Carters Creek/Pinewood Ride is 17.4 miles and is geared toward the intermediate cyclist.
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

The Full-840 is for the more experienced cyclist. It is 28 miles and provides riders a scenic view of the new section of SR 840.

The Gran Fondo is for the serious cyclist and offers three options: the Gran, the Medio and the Piccolo taking cyclists on the roads of Williamson and Maury counties.
Cyclists must be registered.

*All riders are required to wear helmets*

Join the fun at SR 840 and Carters Creek Pike intersection in Thompson’s Station, Tenn., 37179. No motorized vehicles will be allowed to access the event using the new portion of SR 840 between US 31 (Columbia Pike) and SR 46 (Pinewood Road).
