Quarterback Drew Martin threw for 225 yards and a touchdown and ran for one more score, as Battle Ground Academy topped Nashville Christian, 21-13, in Franklin on Friday night.
Receiver Jack Jewell led BGA with 81 receiving yards, and junior Tiy Reed ran for a score and caught another.
The Eagles led 14-0 at the end of a quarter, thanks to both Reed touchdowns.
Martin added a 10-yard run with 4:18 left before half, and that was all BGA needed.
Martin was 18-for-25 passing and led an offense that didn’t turn the ball over.
Matthew Ligon led CPA with 10 tackles, and Reed had 6 1/2 stops.
NCS scored on a 31-yard touchdown pass from Chad Kinnard to Xavier Myers with 25 seconds left in the first half. Myers added a three-yard scoring run midway through the third quarter.
Myers rushed 37 times for 226 yards.
The Wildcats out-gained NCS, 338-274.
BGA hosts Goodpasture next Friday.
