Battle Ground Academy’s season came to an end with a 42-21 loss at Lausanne Collegiate in the semifinals of the TSSAA Division II Class AA state playoffs on Friday night.

Lausanne running back Eric Gray was a one-man wrecking crew, scoring six touchdowns on runs of 2, 6, 14, 19 and 66 yards.

The Wildcats stayed close with the unbeaten Lynx, and even led 14-13 at half, thanks to a long touchdown pass in the first quarter that first staked BGA to a lead.

It’s the final high school game for BGA quarterback Drew Martin, who had a fantastic year in leading BGA to an 11-2 mark.

The Lynx, who won the state with a 14-0 mark last year, head back to the title game again.
