Battle Ground Academy added timely hitting to six Davidson errors to take the easy 8-2 Regional Semi-Final victory over Davidson today.
Starting pitcher Cole Grosvenor went all seven innings, allowing just one earned run, striking out seven and giving just three free passes for the win.
Kruse Coleman got the Wildcats on the board first with a double to left. Grant Drury followed with a Sac fly and BGA was up 2-0 after one inning.
Davidson cut into the lead in the top of the third, with a run scoring on a wild pitch, but the BGA bats would get going again.
Another RBI double, this one off the bat of Cole Grosvenor. His fly ball to right pushed two more runs across home plate making it a 5-1 Wildcat advantage.
BGA finished with a total of 11 hits in the game six of those game from Tucker Beathard and Matt Cogen who had three base-knocks a piece.
