Franklin resident, Laura Turner has been educating preschool children about turkeys for the last 30 years.
On Tuesday, Turner brought two special turkey guests to the students at Berry’s Chapel Preschool in Franklin – Beautiful and Jake.
As Turner explained to the children turkey facts like why they shed feathers, what they like to eat, the difference between the male and female turkeys, the children listened intently. Then Turner read “Twas the Night before Thanksgiving” followed by each student receiving the opportunity to pet Beautiful, Turner’s female pet turkey.
