Local Students at Belmont University Inducted into Alpha Chi Honor Society

Alpha Chi is the oldest and most prestigious honor society at Belmont University, and induction into the society is the University’s highest academic honor awarded. Membership is by invitation only as determined by faculty endorsement of character and intellect of junior and senior students ranking in the top 10 percent of the University, academically.

Membership in Alpha Chi comes with unique opportunities and benefits including scholarships and fellowships, workshops and presentations, academic events and leadership opportunities.

Alpha Chi’s mission is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction. Accordingly, Alpha Chi’s name is derived from the initial letters of the two ancient Greek words aletheia, meaning truth, and xapakthp, meaning character.
