A Belmont University student and his twin brother are accused of setting off improvised explosive devices at several buildings in Pennsylvania. Caleb and Daniel Tate, 22, live in Cochranville, PA. Caleb Tate is currently a student at Belmont. His twin brother attends Pepperdine University in California.
According to a release from the District Attorney’s Office of Chester County, the brothers exploded the IEDs at five locations in southeast Pennsylvania, destroying multiple buildings.
Investigators said the brothers were home on winter break last December when they built bombs out of various materials, including metal pipes, fuel containers, propane canisters and others.
