Turkey Trot

Cool Springs Galleria Olive and Sinclair Savory Spice A Moment's Peace Freeman's Flowers

The 15th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot is just around the corner and it’s not too late to register for this fun event.

This 5K is a community-wide event that strives to raise financial support for GraceWorks while promoting wellness and fitness for children, families, and the community.

Last year, 2,800 participants and over 4,000 on-lookers gathered at D1 Sports Complex in Franklin to partake in the day’s festivities.

The Turkey Trot is an opportunity for community members and companies to reach a concentrated mass target audience before, during, and after Thanksgiving Day while also making a positive impact in the community by helping GraceWorks.

The 2015 Turkey Trot will take place Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 26 at 8:00 a.m. at D1 Sports Training next to the Cool Springs Galleria.

About GraceWorks
GraceWorks Ministries, Inc. was founded in 1995, when area concerned citizens and faith leaders came together and decided Williamson County needed a central place to send people who needed help with food, clothing and financial assistance. By pooling church resources with private and public sectors, GraceWorks was able to provide more help for many needs to better serve our community, rather than duplicating efforts.

Today, GraceWorks has expanded upon these relationships to establish a referral network with other agencies to provide help for immediate needs and long-term resources.

Fundraising Opportunities
When registering for the Turkey Trot, you may contribute to the GraceWorks Fuel Bag Program. Fuel Bags are small bags filled with nutritious and easily prepared food items. Each Friday, teachers discreetly pack the Fuel Bags in the children’s backpacks before they leave for the weekend, helping to supplement their food at home. You may also donate to this program online quickly and securely by visiting here.

Additionally, consider putting together a fundraising team to raise funds for various GraceWorks programs. Set a goal of $100, $500, $1000 or more! Your support will help struggling Williamson County families. To start, join or donate to a fundraising team, visit this link.
