It’s that time of year again!  The weather is warming up and people are ramping up their workouts in order to get warm weather ready.  When doing so, it is important to remember to set realistic goals.  Take the time to prepare yourself by setting weekly goals.  Perhaps those goals are taking that first walk or jog around your block, or joining a new fitness class.  Perhaps it is changing one thing about your diet.

Team TaeBoWhatever the goal may be, make it new every week.  This way, you have something to look forward to accomplishing every week.  As you prepare to reach your goals, journal along the way.  Make note of what you will do to reach your goals, what you eat along the way, and how you enjoyed the workout.  Journaling helps to hear your own voice, which usually speaks the loudest to you.  It also holds you accountable.

One important tip in being successful in a workout routine is to find something that is fun!  Yes, it will be work, but find a workout that fits your personality.  If you like to be outdoors, go for it!  If you like the fitness class setting, go for it.  Whatever makes you tick and is fun, you will more than likely stick to.  Just prepare yourself for a little (or a lot) of work.  However, remember that you have the power to make the best of it.
