Basketball Leagues Starting Now

The Franklin Youth Basketball leagues for ages 5-17, plus two competitive leagues are taking applications. The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s Athletics Division is now accepting registration for the Franklin Youth Basketball Leagues. Participants will have the opportunity to experience all-county play while improving skills, sportsmanship and building relationships with players in other communities.

On-site registration for league play will be held at Academy Park Gym from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 28th; 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1st; 5-8 on Thursday, October 3rd; 10-2 on Saturday, October 5th; and 5-8 on Friday, October 11th. In addition to the all-county play two competitive leagues will be formed. Boys and Girls 9-10 and 11-12 teams will register at the same time.

Forms are available online for team registration for open league coaches, but must be mailed in once filled out. The fee is $55 per player with a uniform fee of $27 which is due upon registration. Mandatory drafts will be held at Academy Park Gym on Thursday, October 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, October 18th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Practices will be held at Franklin area schools beginning in November, while games will be played at Academy Park Gym, the Franklin Recreation Complex, and Pearre Creek Elementary School. The season will run from December through February.
