Superb shooting from the foul line was key to Franklin Road Academy’s 69-61 victory over Division II-A foe Davidson Academy Tuesday night.
FRA (19-5, 10-1) made 14-14 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter while DA only managed 1-5.
The Panthers and Bears played the majority of the second half within a single basket of each other with the half featuring eight lead changes. Wynne Tansil put FRA up for good by sinking two free throws with 3:07 remaining.
Kenny Cooper had a game-high 22 points for FRA with Jack Doherty adding 11 – nine coming in the first half.
