Brentwood’s boys basketball team will play in their third consecutive TSSAA Class AAA state semifinal after defeating White County 72-57 on Wednesday.

Grant Teichmann had a team-high 23 points for the Bruins while Tanner Tapp added 22. Both were super efficient, Tapp making 9-of-10 shots while Teichmann was 8-of-12 from the field.

Jalen Lawson contributed with 15 points and 10 assists. Despite struggling through foul trouble, the senior managed to play 30 of the contest’s 32 minutes.

Brentwood won the battle on the glass, out-rebounding White Co. 29-19.

The Bruins now face Memphis East Friday at 10 a.m. in the Class AAA semifinals at Middle Tennessee State University’s Murphy Center.

Memphis East defeated Oak Ridge 68-57 Wednesday.
