Brentwood can claim dominance on the hardwood in this year’s Battle of the Woods rivalry as the Bruins boys and girls teams swept Ravenwood Friday night.
The boys squicked out a 59-55 win thanks to a 21-point fourth quarter. Brentwood went into the final period trailing 45-38.
Grant Teichmann led the Bruins with 15 points with Tanner Tapp chipping in with 11.
Ravenwood’s Nick Gleason had a game-high 18 points with Zach Erickson netting 11 and Nick Barton 10.
In the girls’ game, the Lady Bruins beat the Lady Raptors 44-38.
Brentwood survived a slow first half, as their 15-point third quarter was two more points than they scored in the first half. Defense was huge for the Lady Bruins in the third as well, holding Ravenwood to only three points.
Jenny Roy had a team-best 12 points with Jessi Boozer right behind with 11.
Ravenwood’s Kiera Downey had a game-high 19 points.
