High School Baseball Recap: Brentwood Academy Walk-Off PJP2

There were some big baseball games Wednesday night around Williamson County. Here we take a look at some of them, and as always you can go to our baseball scoreboard for schedules, scores and records for all Williamson County teams.

Brentwood Academy’s Kyle Conger doubled to center allowingSam  Scruggs and Cole Marciniak to touch home plate.

In the bottom of the 7th it was Scruggs scoring the game winning run for the Eagles.

BA has won three straight since dropping the first three games of April. They will complete the series with PJP2 tomorrow on the road at 7 PM CT.

Centennial beat Dickson Co. 8-1, with senior Pitcher Christian Brown going for 6 innings and 4 Ks. The District 11 rivals played a three-game series this week, in which Centennial took two, winning on Wednesday away 9-3, but losing Tuesday at home 5-2. Centennial has Smyrna coming up Friday afternoon. Brentwood beat Blackman at home Thursday night 4-3 in the second of

a two game home-away. On Wednesday on the road the Bruins beat Blackman 3-1. Neither Independence nor Summit played Thursday, but the two had a three game series against Summit on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Unfortunately for the Eagles the Spartans took all three: at Summit Monday 0-9, at Indy Tuesday 5-10 and at Summit again Wednesday 2-12.

Ravenwood made the most of its three-game series with Franklin this week, taking two of three. Monday on the road the Raptors lost 1-0, then Tuesday at home won 2-5, and again at Franklin Wednesday 9-1. In Wednesday’s game, Bryce Denton knocked in two of the runs with a homer, Raptor pitcher Luke Yates threw six strikeouts and gave up zero runs.

BGA and FRA played a two game series this week, and split it. On Tuesday FRA won on the road 1-5; BGA turned the tables coming into FRA’s home field on Wednesday and winning 7-0. Tuesday’s game was our game of the week, click here for our coverage of it.
