Bagbey House Says Farewell to Franklin

And Announces a New Store Location & New Name

Bagbey House and More

Home decor store Bagbey House and More, located in the historic Bennett House at 134 4th Avenue North in downtown Franklin, announced they are closing their store at the end of May and re-opening in Columbia with a new name.

Owner Phil Baxter posted the following message:

“It is with much sadness that Bagbey House and More will be relocating at the end of May. This is due to the increased rate of rent and the cost of doing business here in Downtown Franklin. Therefore we have decided at the end of May we will be closing down our location at 134 4th Ave N in Franklin, TN.”

On May 4, from 6 p – 8 p, the Franklin location will be hosting a “Farewell Party” where customers can enjoy snacks & refreshments, enter to win giveaways & shop some vendor deals. You can also pick up a coupon to use at their new location at 2407 Pulaski Hwy, Columbia. The new store is located next to Richland Inn, a 1900s Victorian home.

In addition to the new location, Bagbey House is changing their name to Baxter’s Mercantile. They will have many of the same vendors and will add new ones. And they will continue to offer custom floral arrangements. Their new Columbia location will be open June 1st.

The Franklin store will still be open until the end of May. Hours of operation are Tuesday – Saturday 10 a – 5 p and Sunday noon – 4 p.
