Lead singer of the county group Backroad Anthem, Craig Strickland, has gone missing and his friend Chase Morland has been found dead after an ominous tweet foreshadowing their disappearance.
According to KFSM-TV, search teams have been in the Kaw Lake area in Kay County, Oklahoma, where the two men were hunting.
The two men were aware of the severe weather conditions, sending the following tweet at 11:42pm on Saturday night:
As of Monday evening, Backroad Anthem put the following message on their Facebook page to fans.
Strickland is the lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist for Backroad Anthem from Arkansas. Strickland describes himself on Twitter as 50% Arkansas- 50% Nashville. Strickland married Miss Arkansas,Helen Wiser, back in 2014. Backroad Anthem has been an opening act for Dustin Lynch,Chris Young, and Tyler Farr.
