A repeat is on the minds of the defending Division II-AA state champion Brentwood Academy Eagles (9-2).
BA secured a rematch against Montgomery Bell Academy for the DII-AA title with a 38-3 win against visiting Baylor on Friday.

Their return to the state championship is similar to last year, as it beat Baylor at this same juncture.
“These kids had a mission,” head coach Cody White said. “I am really proud of them, and it’s a tough road. But we are back again, and we are excited. We want to be the best we can be, and that is the pressure. I felt like if we were the best we could be, we would have a chance.”
Safety Cam Johnson set the tone for the Eagles with an 82-yard interception return for a 7-0 lead two minutes into the game.
Running back Mario Pleasant followed up with a 3-yard rushing touchdown to end the first quarter already up 14-0.
The Eagles maintained that offensive strength straight into the second quarter. Quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall extended the lead to 28-0 before halftime with a 3-yard touchdown run and a 6-yard touchdown pass to Johnson.
Oatsvall hit receiver Mike Archie for a 12-yard touchdown pass for a 35-0 advantage with 8:54 left in the third quarter.
Toby Wilson hit a 48-yard field goal to cap the scoring with three minutes remaining in the game.
BA outgained Baylor 350-152.
The Eagles will square off with MBA on Dec. 1 at Tennessee Tech. MBA, which beat Ensworth 21-17 to advance, defeated BA 31-24 earlier this season.
“There’s nothing left after the state championship,” White said. “For us, we will have a couple of good weeks of preparation.
“It’s going to be a heck of a game.”
