Award Season Can Inspire Your Interiors

McCalls Carpet One

It’s award season with the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild awards just completed and the Oscars taking place on February 27th.

McCalls Carpet One gives us inspiration based on the Golden Globes red carpet looks from Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Huffman, and Ruth Negga.

Striking Sophistication

Felicity Huffman dressed in “Edition” by George Chakra radiates boss lady confidence and glamour. To get that golden glow at home, opt for strong statement pieces in white, gold or a combination of both. Keep the lines simple, mix up the textures for interest and keep a balance between masculine and feminine elements.

Industrial Drama

Ruth Negga sparkled at the Golden Globes in her stunning, silvery gown by Louis Vuitton. Her look is edgy, yet feminine – even slightly romantic in a rock-inspired fashion. “Minimalism” is the keyword for translating this look for home. Seek strong sculptural pieces that can stand on their own, or combined with other impactful pieces convey a visual statement of restrained glamour.

Classically Appealing

Draped in a sensual, tailored Atelier Versace gown, Reese Witherspoon exudes vintage Hollywood glamour. The look is minimal, yet intensely captivating. For home, Reese’s red carpet style is expressed in a limited color palette anchored by neutrals. The channeling in the bodice of her dress, is echoed in the channel tufting of the sofa. The soft yellow of her gown inspired the chandelier pick – which like the gown makes a strong statement.
