Franklin Police want area retailers to know about this arrest of an Atlanta suspect found in possession of more than a dozen cloned credit cards. Officers arrested 39-year-old Sadifiku Shabaaz shortly after he fled from Kohl’s on March 14. Shabaaz was attempting to purchase $386 in merchandise using a cloned credit card and then fled after the transaction failed. Responding officers found Shabaaz hiding nearby, with more than a dozen cloned credit cards in his possession.

Shabaaz, charged with Criminal Simulation, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, and Identity Theft is free on the $18,500 bond set by the Magistrate. Detectives believe other area retailers could have fallen victim to similar crimes involving this same suspect, and want those retailers to know about Shabaaz’s identification and arrest. He was driving a black Dodge Charger while in the Franklin area. Any retailer who believes Shabaaz has victimized their store is asked to call Franklin Police: (615) 794-2513.
