At the Williamson County Fair- Special Events

Little-1's-evening

The fair is full of special performances and events. This year is no exception and one of the past favorites is in rare form. The Little 1’s Farming and Children’s Barnyard is back and better than ever. “This on-going event is a ‘Must See’ all 9 days of the fair,” says Kris Ellis.

The shows give the community access to agricultural education in a simple fun way. People get to see how their environment is impacted by farming. “Little 1’s and the Barnyard provide a ‘hands-on’ experience for the children and their parents unavailable anywhere else,” says Ellis.

It takes hundreds of volunteers to produce these special events and keep them running for the entire fair. Coordination of the 4-H leaders and the TN AG Extension leaders is extensive to provide this area for patrons.

“Seeing the surprise on the parents faces as they learn along with their children is the best part,” says Ellis.

The Williamson County Fair runs from Friday, August 3rd to Saturday, August 11th.
