Artist University Set to Open at The Factory

Nashville Artist University (NAU) will officially open its doors next month at The Factory in Franklin. Nashville Artist University’s mission is to empower and educate emerging artists specifically in the visual, performing and technical arts. The inaugural semester will kick off September 21st, 2015  and run through December 14th, 2015. All classes will be held at The Little Theater at The Factory in Franklin.

Nashville Artist University was founded by the passionate vision of entertainment industry veteran Dena DiVito. NAU exists to equip independent artists with the necessary tools needed to grow in their own professional careers and embark on a successful livelihood in the entertainment industry. Students will gain hands on experiences, curriculum and ongoing mentoring throughout the semester under the direction of industry experts.

“The world around us is constantly changing and we want to keep our students up to speed on how to best benefit their career,” shares DiVito, Nashville Artist University’s President who has 25 years of experience in strategic national marketing and management, working for EMI CMG as Director of Tour Promotions and Marketing as well as General Manager for Naomi Judd. “We have a genuine desire to pass the torch, to boost and nurture inspiring artists who just need guidance and direction,” DiVito continues. “If you are willing to work, we are passionate about teaching you all we know.”

NAU instructors encompass many of today’s top entertainment industry professionals, each with over 20 years of experience in their respective fields. The instructors are fully equipped to teach classes on topics such as booking, image, press, performance and vocal coaching, photography, music videos, finances, merchandise, songwriting, publishing, social media and radio airplay.

NAU classes will run for 12 weeks from September 21st, 2015through December 14th, 2015 and will be held Monday evenings from 6pm to 9pm at The Little Theater, formerly The Boiler Room behind The Factory. The entire semester fee is only $2,500. After attending NAU, students are welcome to return to take a refresher course at no additional charge.
