Franklin’s accolades are growing! The historic charm of Franklin has earned it titles like “Best Southern Town” and “One of the Best Places to Live in the U.S.” Specifically, Downtown Franklin’s Main Street has been called “America’s Most Romantic Main Street,” and now Architectural Digest has included Main Street in its list of 30 Most Beautiful Main Streets.
The list includes places such as Rosemary Beach, Florida; Pella, Iowa; Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Telluride, Colorado.
Of Downtown Franklin’s Main Street Architectural Digest writes:
“Twenty miles south of Nashville, this burb’s Main Street conveys the storybook-perfect town. You’ll find landmarks like the historic Franklin Theatre, dating back to 1837 and still hosting movies, concerts, and shows today. While many of the buildings are historic, it wasn’t until the mid-1980s that residents launched the street’s revitalization, bringing in specialty boutiques, restaurants, and more.”
