The 41st Annual Carter House Candlelight Tour sponsored by Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Williamson Medical Center will showcase homes in historic Franklin on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

“This year, we are thrilled to feature several homes on gorgeous Boyd Mill Avenue. We want to thank the chair of this tour, Damon Rogers, who has organized a very memorable event,” said President of the Board of Directors of The Carter House, Ed Underwood.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 starting December 6th and may be purchased online at www.battleoffranklintrust.org or at The Carter House or Carnton Planation.
Attendees are asked to park at Jim Warren Park (705 Boyd Mill Avenue). Free shuttles will pick up from this location and drop off on Boyd Mill Avenue. Each home on Boyd Mill and Glass Lane are accessible by foot. The first shuttles of the evening will leave the Jim Warren Park parking lot at 5:50 p.m. and will run continuously throughout the evening.
The last shuttle will leave Boyd Mill Avenue at 9:45 p.m.

This event will pose as a fundraiser for the Battle of Franklin Trust, which manages The Carter House and Carnton Plantation. It’s a 501 management corporation acting on behalf of Franklin’s battlefield sites to contribute to a greater understanding and enrich the visitor experience of the November 30, 1864 battle. It’s organized for the charitable properties, artifacts and documents related to the battle so as to preserve an important part of the nation’s history.
