Ahhh, Spring. Baseball is in full swing, weather is gorgeous, the roses are blooming…it must be time for the Kentucky Derby! I will give you my predictions and ask you for yours. Watch Saturday morning and we’ll give you some great places to watch the race!
My Predictions
I know what you’re thinking: Who are you to make picks? Little known fact , in my younger, slimmer days, I exercised and groomed race horses, and worked for 2 Hall of Fame trainers. I had a horse run second in the Derby and another won the Belmont. So, to say I love this time of year would be an understatement. Here’s my Trifecta and One To Watch: American Pharaoh, not excited about the 17 hole, but love the horse… Carpe Diem, breaking from the 2 hole will be tough, but a clean break sets up a speed duel…International Star, hasn’t been running in the same class as many of these, but seems to be the “come from behind horse” which may favor him with lots of up front speed in this race….One to Watch: Gonna have to agree with my Mint Julep chef, Spaz, I like Frosted. Should sit just off pace, a good trip and you’ll get a payday on a good price.
Look the Derby is a tough race, 20 horses and anything can happen. It takes skill, but you gotta have just as much luck in this race. We want to know who are you picking?
