Amy Grant to Host Barefoot Republic

Amy Grant

Last summer during seven overnight and three day camp sessions, more than 1200 campers, summer staff and volunteers came together at Barefoot Republic Camp, representing 40 different ethnicities. This summer Barefoot anticipates 50% growth due to three new day camp sessions…two of those at Amy Grant’s farm located in Franklin, TN.

After one of her daughters attended a week-long overnight session last summer, Grant fully caught Barefoot’s vision for Christ-centered, multi-cultural camp ministry and invited Barefoot to host two new day camp sessions on her 400-acre family property. Barefoot At The Farm is for rising K-6th graders and will take place June 15-19 and June 22-26.

Tommy Rhodes, executive director of Barefoot Republic, said “I am grateful for Amy’s generosity and her desire to host Barefoot At The Farm on her family property. We’re excited to see Barefoot continue to grow and serve more children from Middle Tennessee.”

The unique location will allow Barefoot Republic to offer programming its typical church-based day camp sites do not provide. Outdoor adventure, horseback riding and other traditional Barefoot programs like team and extreme sports, music production, STOMP, dance, photography and more will be available.

In addition to seven overnight sessions in KY and one in Southern California, Barefoot’s day camp dates and locations are as follows:

Barefoot at the Farm I: June 15-19 in Franklin, TN at Amy Grant’s Farm
Barefoot at the Farm II: June 22-26 in Franklin, TN at Amy Grant’s Farm
Day Camp I: June 29-July 3 in in Franklin, TN at Christ Community Church
