Learn Why American Picker Mike Wolfe Attended Franklin Art Scene

Franklin Art Scene

Mike Wolfe, Franklin resident, owner of Antique Archeology and star of the History Channel’s American Pickers attended downtown Franklin’s monthly art crawl Friday night.

As the spokesperson for Partners in Preservation, a community-based partnership created by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and American Express to raise awareness of the importance of preserving historic places and their role in sustaining local communities Wolf was there to talk about Partners in Preservation’s latest contest highlighting Main Streets.

Partners in Preservation: Main Streets will give away $2 million in grant money and downtown Franklin has been chosen as one of 25 main streets across the United States to participate. The public will determine which sites will receive funding by voting for their favorite main streets through October 31 at VoteYourMainStreet.org, the online voting portal hosted by National Geographic Travel.
