Amazon will open its first Tennessee storefront in Nashville. Amazon Books will open inside The Mall at Green Hills, an Amazon spokesperson confirmed.

Last week, The Nashville Post reported that a building permit had been issued for a 4,600 square foot build-out in the former space of Z Gallerie for the Amazon store. At that time, it was not clear what type of storefront would open.

No open date has been given.

Amazon has a job posting for a Retail Associate at The Mall at Green Hills for flex time and part-time hours.

What to expect at Amazon Books:

At Amazon Books, shoppers will find a curated collection of customer favorite books, all rated 4 stars and above, top sellers or new releases. Shoppers can also test-drive devices like Echo, Kindle, Fire tablet, Fire TV families and more. Amazon Books is open to all shoppers; however, Prime shoppers will pay the Amazon.com price in store. Customers who are not Prime members and sign up for a 30-day trial and instantly receive the Amazon.com price in store.

This will be the first Amazon Books store to open in the Nashville area. Previously, Davis Kidd Bookseller was open inside the mall but closed in 2010. Another local bookstore, Parnassus, is located in Green Hills across the street from the mall.

Keep checking back here for more details about the opening.
