Alex Trebek Diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer

“Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, he told fans in a YouTube video.

In the video, Trebek, 78, says despite the low statistics of this type of cancer he will fight it and continue to work. Trebek has hosted “Jeopardy” since 1984.

“With the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease.”

Even though Trebek’s news was not happy, he ended his message with a joke, saying he must beat this disease because his contract states he has to host “Jeopardy” for three more years.”
