Adopt-A-Stop and Everyone Wins

Franklin Transit Bus

Thursday, July 26th is Adopt-A-Stop, a celebration of public transit in Franklin. Travel for free on Franklin’s Fixed Routes from 9 A.M. to Noon. Area businesses will be giving away prizes during this time in celebration.

Public Transit benefits residents and the city as a whole, so expect special giveaways and other surprises during this three hour fiesta. Celebrity rider, State Representative Charles Sargent, will join in and ride the bus that morning. He is riding Franklin Transit’s East Route from 9 – 10 a.m., the South Route from 10 – 11 a.m. and the West Route from 11 a.m. – Noon.

“This event will be a lot of fun for both Franklin Transit riders and the participating businesses,” said Debbie Henry, Executive Director of Franklin Transit Authority. “Adopt-A-Stop Day is a great way for businesses along Franklin Transit Authority fixed routes to engage with transit riders in an innovative and special way.” Transit vehicles are equipped with bicycle racks in an effort to support sustainable transportation connections throughout the area.
