AAA Basketball Wrap: Snow Day

Here is a wrap of this weeks action in Division I AAA basketball around the county with a close eye on district games, with the tournament just a few weeks away. Six of the seven teams in District 11 are in Williamson County.

Boys

Independence is tearing up District 11. This week in district play the 18-1 (6-0) Eagles beat Summit 48-40.

Centennial, in second place, beat Brentwood 53-35 on Tuesday and Franklin 45-42 last week. A rematch with Ravenwood- the 13-5 (5-1 in district) Cougars won the first match 67-62 in early December- was cancelled because of the snow.

Summit, in third place at 15-4 (4-3 in district), beat Dickson Co 53-40 on Thursday after losing to Indy. The Spartans beat the Raptors last Friday 60-52.

Ravenwood at 11-8 (3-3 in District) had its game cancelled on Friday, coming off a win at Franklin on Tuesday, 59-48.

Brentwood, 6-14 overall and 2-4 in district, beat Dickson County 38-36 last Friday before losing to Centennial 35-33 on Tuesday.

Franklin, 6-11 overall (1-5) haven’t won a district game since December 11 against Dickson Co. They lost this week to the Raptors.

Girls

Ravenwood, 16-5 and 5-1 in district, is in second place. The Raptors beat Summit last Friday 54-41 and Franklin on Tuesday 38-30. Their Friday game against Centennial will be rescheduled.

Brentwood, 8-9 overall and 3-3 in district, beat Centennial 56-45 on Tuesday and upset first place Dickson Co 45-42 last Friday. They place at Summit on Thursday.

Centennial 15-3 overall and 3-3 in district lost to Brentwood on Tuesday after beating Franklin 34-30 last week. Their Friday game at Ravenwood will be rescheduled. They play at Dickson on Tuesday.

Summit, 8-11 and 3-4 in district, beat Independence on Tuesday 48-37 and lost to Dickson County Thursday 44-64.

Frankllin, 9-10 overall and 2-4 in district, lost to Ravenwood on Tuesday and play at Independence on Monday.

The Eagles, 4-15 overall and 0-6 in district 11, lost at Summit Tuesday 37-48 and host Franklin Monday.Generic School Footer
