A Moment’s Peace, the popular salon and spa that has been serving Williamson County from its Cool Springs location for more than 15 years, will open a second location that will anchor the luxury retail amenities offered to hotel guests, residents and visitors to Downtown Franklin as part of the Harpeth Square development set to open in 2019. The 5,800 square-foot Harpeth Square location of A Moment’s Peace will occupy 180 feet of retail storefront along First Avenue, which will face Puckett’s Boat House and the river front.

“As we looked at prospective partners for our spa, A Moment’s Peace quickly emerged as a longtime unique local favorite, known for its service and expertise,” said J. Roderick Heller, chairman and CEO of Harpeth Associates, which owns the Harpeth Square development that includes a four-diamond, 119-key Curio Hilton Hotel and world-class culinary destinations, along with 150 Gold LEED-certified leased residences that will take full advantage of hotel amenities. “We want our residents, our downtown Franklin neighbors and visitors to our community to be able to enjoy the same luxury experiences as our hotel guests.”

A Moment’s Peace CEO Kip Dodson said they simply had to be a part of the project.

“We love the vision for Harpeth Square and the thriving historic commercial district that Downtown Franklin has become,” Dodson said. “We anticipate that Harpeth Square residents and guests within the Hilton Curio Hotel will represent a significant part of our business, but with ample on-site parking in the attached garage and the tremendous foot traffic, we will be well positioned to serve our traditional clientele and walk-up customers.”

This second location will offer the same 10 distinct service categories as the original but will have slightly different branding and new technologies incorporated and finishes that will complement the vision of the Harpeth Square developers. Their beauty and wellness services include full-service hair and nail salons; skin care, tanning, and waxing/hair removal; massage and spa treatments; unique packages for individuals, groups and parties, and a line of unique products and gifts.

Harpeth Square, unprecedented both in scope and finish, spans an entire city block from Main Street to Bridge Street and First to Second avenues, including 12,000 square feet of retail space, 6,500 square feet of Class A office space and a 591-space, five-story parking garage. The projected completion of the $105 million development is slated for July 2019 on the hotel side, with the apartments and retail components opened starting in the Fall of 2019.

The hotel will be managed by Euan McGlashan and Valor Hospitality, a Global Bespoke Management Company with offices in the USA, UK & Europe, Africa and Asia. McGlashan previously developed and managed the Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, which under his leadership was recognized by Condé Nast as the “Best Hotel in the World,” with the culture and guest experience delivery replicated today in their worldwide portfolio.
