Tennessee Youth Sports, LLC (TYS) has purchased A-Game Sportsplex in Cool Springs for $12.2 million from Sports Land Group, LLC, announced Roy Dano, a member of the ownership group in a press release.

“A-Game has been a centerpiece for youth athletics in Middle Tennessee and the Southeast for many years,” said Dano. “We look forward to once again making this a premier youth sports destination. It will be home to both recreational and world-class athletes from Williamson County and the greater Nashville area.”

A-Game is a 174,000-square-foot facility located in the Cool Springs area of Franklin. It features high-end gymnasiums that can serve up to 12 volleyball courts or eight basketball courts. The facility formerly included two ice rinks, which were removed in 2016.

TYS plans to invest more than $1 million in improvements to the facility over the next few months. This includes redeveloping the former ice rink areas to be accessible to other youth sports entities that will use it for training, camps and tournaments. An additional 30,000-square-feet of retail and office space will be available to lease. TYS has selected Trey Kirby with NAI Nashville as the leasing agent.

“A-Game is a unique facility and our ownership group is excited about the opportunity to attract regional and national events,” added Dano. “We are already in initial conversations with multiple organizations to host tournaments and events that will serve as economic drivers for local hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues. This will be a win-win for all involved.”

Work on the facility improvements will begin immediately with a grand reopening to the public expected in early fall.

  1. Refurbishing as in putting ice back in the facility or repurposing those former ice areas?
