Behind 18 points from Kiersten Hudson, the Independence High girls went on the road and knocked off Centennial, 59-24, on Saturday night.

Kaitlyn Heam added 16, and Daesha McAdams scored 10 for the Eagles.

Malea Roberson scored a game-high for Centennial, while Hannah Wright and Constance Bledsoe each had four.

Independence, which beat the Cougars by a 59-36 count on Dec. 12, swept the regular season series.

The Eagles led 19-9 after one quarter, and 32-12 at half.

Independence improved to 8-16.

Centennial hosts Dickson County on Jan. 30, while Independence next hosts Franklin on the same night.
