5K Raises Funds For Historic Franklin Sites

A commemorative Battle of Franklin 5K Walk/Run and Kid’s Fun Run will be held at the historic Carnton Plantation on Saturday, Nov. 28 for runners of all ages and speed to take part in.

Schedule:

7:15 a.m. – Registration

8:00 a.m. – Runners

8:15 a.m. – Walkers

The route will begin at the Eastern Flank Circle, turning left on Lewisburg Pike to Main Street with a turn around back to the Eastern Flank. Runners should have their ID’s at registration. Click here to register.

Prices

Running and Walking-5k – Individual Age group/open: $35.00 for pre-registration and $45.00 for day-of.

Kids’ Fun Run Running-.25 m – Individual Age group/open: $10.00 per child (up to age 12)

Price includes run, T-shirt and after-run treats.

Kids’ Fun Run

9:00 a.m. – Registration

9:30 a.m. – Run

The Kid’s Fun Run will start at the entrance of the McGavock Confederate Cemetery. The course is .25 miles long and runs along the side of the cemetery. It will end at the Fleming Center on Eastern Flank Circle.

This event will be sponsored by Nissan and all proceeds will go toward the care and restoration of the Carter House and the Carnton Plantation.
