On Friday, more than 500 students at Moore Elementary School in Franklin will be recognized for writing, illustrating, and publishing their own books through a free, national program provided by Studentreasures Publishing. Studentreasures, which sparks kids’ imagination and a love of learning through its publishing program, will present the student authors their published books and award the school $1,000 as part of an all-school celebration. One class will be honored for publishing the company’s 14 millionth student-authored book and the students will be congratulated for advancing to the National Book Challenge competing against schools across America for a chance to win a $5,000 grand prize.

The event will be held Friday, March 23 from 9a-10a.
