Sprouts held their Grand Opening on March 2nd and it has been one of the most anticipated openings of a grocery store in quite some time. And for good reason–Sprouts’ motto is to make healthy living more affordable. Located in the former Stein Mart building, at 1010 Murfreesboro Road in the Maples Shopping Center,we attended the preview party as well as the Grand Opening and we keep going back for more. With every trip to Sprouts,we find so many things we love but we narrowed it down to just five. And we’d like to hear all about your discoveries as well.  Leave us a comment.

5. Sprouts gives back to the community.

Sprouts will donate all unsold and edible but not marketable groceries to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee as part of Sprouts local Food Rescue Program. Relief agencies pick up excess or damaged fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste and distribute it to those in need. In 2015, Sprouts stores and distribution centers donated approximately 14 million pounds of product to those in need, which is equivalent to 11.6 million meals. This reduces the impact of hunger as well as the company’s environmental footprint.
