Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee per day, equivalent to 146 billion cups of coffee per year, making the United States the leading consumer of coffee in the world. You and your wife, also an accomplished blogger and your new role as a father..
My wife and I have been married for about two years now, and we just had our first son, Finch, who is only about five-weeks old. He’s been such a blessing to our family, and I believe has matured the way we go about writing and our ministerial efforts. Blogging has always been something I’ve loved to do, but it wasn’t until about five years ago that I realized people actually liked what I was writing. I believe my utilization of social media has been paramount to my success as a blogger, and thank God for giving me this platform to help share hope to those who need it.

Let’s talk about your new book Jesus Swagger–what is it about? Why did you feel the need to write this?
Jesus Swagger is a book that I have been writing for quite some time now. The basic concept is simple: Help people break away from poser Christianity and embrace a life with Jesus that is truly transformative. I felt the need to write this book because I myself was the definition of a poser Christian. All throughout my life I claimed to be a follower of Jesus, but in reality was nothing more than a fraud. I wanted to expose the harsh reality of what it means to be a fraudulent Christian, and what needs to take place in order to have a true relationship with Christ. The two cannot coexist. The response has been incredible, and I pray that more and more people will break free from poser Christianity in order to become the person Christ has called them to be. How did your 4 week blogging course come about and what will participants in the class learn?
On July 7th, I’m launching my first of many online courses. Over the years I’ve had hundreds of emails, tweets and Facebook messages from people who wanted personal coaching on blogging, or had questions on how to start one. After a lot of prayer and research, I put together a four-week blogging course that will provide all the information needed for anyone looking to start their own, or help deepen the understanding of those who are already doing it. The course will cover things such as: Hosting, web-design, social media strategies, setting up ads, etc. This will be the first of many online courses I will be offering.

You are one of the guest speakers at Kinekt. What can attendees expect to hear not just from you but from the two-day seminar itself?
I’m very unconventional in the way I view just about everything. And while I believe mostly everyone who will be attending Kinekt understands the basics of social media and digital marketing, I hope to bring some outside-the-box perspectives and tactics that will help people take their strategies to the next level. Social media is all about telling a story, and I plan on teaching people how to tell a better story through the apps and social platforms we all use on a daily basis. Kinekt Poster
