Ashley Roberts is the  Executive Director at A Vintage Affair which is hosting A Fashion Affair to held on July 25th at the Franklin Theatre.   A Vintage Affair is a non profit organization that raises monies to benefit Williamson County charities supporting women and children. Roberts grew up right here in Williamson County.  She told us that, “There is no place like Franklin and Middle Tennessee. 1.

Can you tell us about your role as  Executive Director at A Vintage Affair?
I have been with A Vintage Affair for the last six years.  I am very passionate about the charities that A Vintage Affair supports throughout Williamson County.  My role is primarily  to plan the major events that A Vintage Affair host throughout the year to raise money for the charities that we support.

A Fashion Affair has moved from January to July, why the change?
As most of us, we are recovering from the holidays in January so we thought we would try a summer event. Having  A Fashion Affair at the end of July, is like having one of  last party before the kids go back to school and life becomes more hectic.  And who doesn’t like  having a party in the summer?  It’s like having a mini- stay cation.

What new things have  you added to this event?
This year we have added a VIP party  that includes one of our downtown retailers.  We are so excited  to announce we will be hosting a pre-event party at ECCO salon.  At our VIP party, we will feature a bikini martini  provided by Patron Tequila along with small bites from the Daily Dish.

During the event, what can patrons expect?
We are bringing you a beach party!  Complete with a DJ playing some of  your favorite music all night.  A fashion show with the latest in swimwear collections for both men and  women.  We will also be serving  the famous Franklin Theatre popcorn along with  our most popular wines from the Robledo Family.

Before the show, there is a special presentation, can you tell us about that?
We will be showing a  four minute documentary before the show starts filmed by Jaclyn Edmonson.   Edmonson told us,” We took a year to complete this film by attending A Vintage Affair events, speaking with the vintners, board members and beneficiaries.”  Edmonson commented that as a native of Williamson County, she  took great pride in making this documentary in her own backyard.  Edmonson said one of comments that stood out to her was, “In a county that is known for great affluence, there is also great need and that’s what we are here to do.”   The night of A Fashion Affair will  be the first showing  of the documentary.
