1

How long have you been the General Manager at Infiniti of Cool Springs?

I’ve been with the organization since 2011, but 2016 is my first year as the General Manager. Before that, I was the General Sales Manager for three years.

2

Have you always had an interest in cars?

Absolutely. My grandfather was in the car business and there have been several times when my father and I would stop at a dealership just to get a peek at a new model. That’s a big reason I like it here so much because I have always loved Infiniti’s. Now, I’ve been fortunate to own a few since I’ve been here.

What are the biggest trends you are seeing in the automobile industry?

Before, there were so many features that were options, and now they are standard equipment. The options now do things you couldn’t have imagined when you were young. Progression towards autonomous driving is moving swiftly. The Intelligent Cruise Control in some Infiniti’s almost all but drives the car for you. It assists by keeping you in the lane and will keep you a few car lengths behind the car in front of you, even if the car in front of you is going slower than the your set speed.

What separates Infiniti of Cool Springs from other luxury dealerships?

There are a lot of good luxury options for Tennesseans and that keeps us on our toes. My general mind set everyday though is to keep the experience here just as much about the organization as it is about the car. The cars speak for themselves but I want the ownership experience to feel like a club of sorts. I want everyone to feel comfortable with their car and its condition so they can pay attention to more important things in life. The goal is for the customer to have such a good ownership experience that they won’t want to buy any other car but an Infiniti in the future. We seek to achieve that status by providing unparalleled customer service in conjunction with a fleet of 100 service loaners and luxury amenities. We give our new car customers one year of complimentary maintenance just to get them to try us out and give us a chance to prove ourselves. It’s really hard for me to imagine a better group of people than the team members we have at Infiniti of Cool Springs.

If you weren’t in the automobile business, what would you be doing?

I always knew I wanted to be a businessman of some sorts. I just don’t like thinking about what other business I would be doing because I enjoy the car business so much. Buying a car is supposed to be fun. If it’s up to me and my staff to create that environment, who wouldn’t want a little more fun in their vocation?
